all state insurance

The Allstate Corporation NYSE: ALL is the largest publicly held personal lines insurer in the United States and the second-largest of all personal lines insurers in the U.S. Allstate was founded in 1931 as part of Sears, Roebuck and Company.

The company slogan is "You're in good hands." The current advertising campaign, in use since 2004, asks, "Are you in good hands?" Their current English spokesperson is Dennis Haysbert, while their Spanish spokesperson is Esai Morales. Allstate sponsors various sporting events, including the Allstate Sugar Bowl, the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard NASCAR race, and the United States Olympic Committee.

IAskUAnswer replied: "Did you sign anything? I don't know all the legal stuff involved with things, but if you signed the check or a form of some kind you may have waived your right to sue or get a higher amount from them. I would talk to a lawyer about your policy and the laws involved."
mysteryperson replied: "Did you go through a lawyer? If not, that's what you need do or maybe try a different lawyer if you already have one."
The Neon Knight replied: "so sorry. Contact an attorney or legal aid service and try and sue Allstate also if u were hit by another car try suing them. Also each state has an insurance board/commision that you could try and find on ur state's website that maybe able to help youAlso contact ssi and or ur state service to see about getting disability benefits since u can't work for now. Also if u don't have medical insurance hospital social worker maybe able to get u medicaid and bill retroactively so check that out. I hope and pray at least some of this comes thru for u"
Judy replied: "Unfortunately this isn't atypical for Allstate. They try their best to get out of paying what they owe. Is your policy with them, or is it the other driver? If it's the other driver and you have a different insurance company, then your agent should be able to help you. If it's your policy, lotsa luck. What kind of excuse do they give for not even paying the bills? You could file a complaint with the state insurance commission. You might have to contact an attorney to get reasonable compensation - unfortunately that will mean that the attorney will get a large cut, but if they're only offering $5K on a claim that's $80K+, it might be worth it - even for Allstate, that's a stretch!I've had two accidents with Allstate-insured drivers, and my son had one, all where their insured was clearly at fault - in one, my car was legally parked at the time it was hit. They played games in all three claims. There are a couple websites with a lot of Allstate horror stories."
Jane replied: "You left out a lot of information, so no one here can provide you any useful "thoughts".You need to provide more information like the type of policy you have and its limits, who is at fault for your accident, are you insured by allstate, does the other driver have insurance, did you have a lawyer representing you, etc.If your insurance has a 15/30 limit, the max your insurance is going to pay you is 30 for everything in your accident including all parties involved payouts, laywer and doctor's fees, etc. don't expect 80."
Sue replied: "Is Allstate your company? If so, what is your medical payments limit, is it only $5,000? If so, that is all they are obligated to pay, that is all you purchased. You should be going to your health insurance for the rest, I am sure that Allstate can give you a letter that your medical payments limit was used. Was the accident your fault? If so, this is all you will get, again you have to go to your health insurance for the rest, and disability (if you have it) for you income to pay your regular bills. Was the accident the other party's fault? If so, you should be on the phone with the other insurance company & tell them to open a bodily injury claim. They should offer you some kind of settlement, once you are done being treated, up to the other party's bodily injury limits. If they had 15,000/30,000, you will only get $15,000 maximum for your injuries, not $30,000 like another poster said, $15,000 is the max per person limit in this case & you are only one person. If it was the other party's fault AND the other party was not insured or had minimum or low limits (lower than your limits), you can go to your uninsured/underinsured motorist bodily injury. This is your coverage for you. Hopefully you purchased high liability & uninsured motorists limits. If so, you will need to put your company on notice of this.I wish you the best in your recovery."
njunprincess replied: "IFAllstate accepted liability, then your hospital should have their info on record to bill. Keep in mind that these companies are "waiting" for the lawsuit that you will be filing for "pain & suffering". I just hope dude had enough coverage because it sounds like you'll max the limit out.You might want to get a "free" consultation from an injury lawyer and see what they have to say. Good Luck and God Speed."
rrs07 asked: "hello, I live in NY and i have all state insurance, im 24 and i have 0 points. i got a speeding ticket that was reduced today to failure to yield and 2 points...what will happen to my insurance? will it increase? by how much? or not go up at all?thanks alot"

djaca70 replied: "It probably won't go up. You might want to take driver's school for point reduction and 10% off so it will stay "clean.""
Yelena Kostyk asked: "Please emial me if you work for Allstate insurance how to start in be an independent insurance agent."
Question posted courtesy of:
Sue replied: "Allstate for the most part has captive agents, not independents. So, you are an Allstate agent only. Once in a while, if there are no other Allstate agents in a region, they will appoint an independent. This is usually an already established agent with an established client base. We have 2 branch offices that represent Allstate with a bunch of other companies. That is because there are no other Allstate agents in their areas. Our office does NOT have Allstate because there is another one in our town. So, I'm saying, yes, you can be an independent with Allstate as long as there are no other captive agents in your area (before you get appointed). Our one branch office has been indpendents for Allstate since the 80s, the other since the late 90s."
Insurance Made Easy.biz replied: "Sue's info is correct about independent vs exclusive agents but to answer your question call an Allstate office in your area and ask them who to talk to in the regional office about becoming an agent. Each agent has a sales manager who works for the regional office. They keep changing the names of theses mangers, from sales manager to Management Business Consultant MBC, I can't remember what they are calling them now.The MBC can interview you and guide you through the process, depending on your background you may qualify to open your own office or they might recommend you work for another agent first. You can also visit"
mbrcatz17 replied: "You can't be an "independent" for Allstate. Allstate uses captives only."
♥Georgia Peach♥ replied: "You can be independent for Allstate, I'm an independent Allstate agent! My two biggest companies I represent are Allstate, and Progressive. E-mail me with what location you're in and I can find a district manager for you and have them e-mail you with some more information. My e-mail address is These people have no clue what they're talking about, I've been working independently for Allstate since 1998."
TheGeneral asked: "Get back on there feet? That state should be in good shape already , Why are they procrastinating? Government doesnt even take care of their homeland.Pathetic."
Question posted courtesy of:
AF Medic replied: "very simple $$$$$$$ who has it and who doesn't.the ones who have it want nothing to change that"
Greg F replied: "Our government would rather send our tax money around the world, instead of taking care of our own."
nigel replied: "is that the governments job????? I live in a place that is not surrounded by water on three sides and above sea level where no hurricane will ever hit, why should my tax dollars help rebuild a city that will flood again and again??"
yankee_sailor replied: "US government has spent 17.4 billion dollars to date on Katrina recovery efforts.... and has over 5,000 people on the payroll full time doing nothing but.......and please remember, the worst effects of Katrina were in Mississippi and Alabama......to say the Federal Government has done nothing is just plain wrong."
pappu asked: "Its suspicious as there is no intereview or anything. I just send my cv and they send me the offer letter. Though they donot ask any money or anything till now."
Question posted courtesy of:
De replied: "probably a scam too spelling wrong for the actual insurance company"
Matt B replied: "hey... my mom works for a credit card processing company, and they have busted a major fraud scheme out of Nigeria...don't buy into it."
Mike replied: "MOST e-mails from anyone claiming to be in Nigeria are SCAMS. Often, the reply address for e-mail back to them ends in .FR, or .SP, or .DE. This tells you what country they are in, like France(FR), Spain(SP), or Germany(DE). Check with a LEGITIMATE office of ALLSTATE in USA near you to see if such positions are really available. Their corporate headquarters is in Oakbrook, Illinois."
Fred F replied: "Scam-close all contact with them."
Carol W replied: "It sure sounds like a scam, I certainly would pursue them in regards to salary, benefits, and so on. So many scams are from Nigeria, it is hard to believe this could actually be a real offer. I have an awful feeling, someone soon will start asking for money."
mbrcatz17 replied: "Ya know, all I need to see is "Nigeria", and I think "scam"."
AD replied: "Scam. If the letter is the way you sent asked the question - it looks like they are trying to lead you to believe they are related to Allstate Insurance. I am an adjuster - I started out working with Allstate Insurance 12 years ago. I went through a background check, credit check, drug screen, had to take a test (a basic skills type thing- took about 3 hours to do) and a 3 hour interview given by 2 managers. Also - they don't ask you to give them money to work for them. Like other jobs - they pay you to come to work for them. Their agents are independent contractors. However, I suspect their are equally strict in hiring their agents. If you want to be sure - contact the Allstate cooperate office. They are based in Northbrook, Il. You should be able to get contact information from them from the insurance department in your state or a local Allstate agent. I no longer work for Allstate Insurance so I don't have a number to give you for them. As far as I know, Allstate does not sell insurance in Nigeria and they do not maintain call centers their.Heck - you may want to contact Allstate Insurance just to let them know this is floating around. They probably already know - but it may help them to track it."

Catastrophic illnesses are claimed to have triggered approximately half of all personal bankruptcies in the United States. According to recent findings from a Harvard University study, most people who go bankrupt because of medical problems also have health insurance.

Insurance companies are mandated by federal law to pay for breast reconstruction (including the DIEP flap procedure) in all breast cancer patients who have had mastectomies (if the mastectomy is covered). Insurance companies must also cover surgery on the opposite breast to achieve reasonable breast symmetry. Individual State laws are listed here.
