Jron asked: "If so, What experiences have you had with your Real Estate Investing Transactons, regarding Prepaid Legal services. What are the pros and cons? Any recommendations? Is itworth it?"
Question posted courtesy of:
dowagiac.michigan replied: "it is a total ripoff, don't give them any money, and don't let them talk you in to selling it"
Hana replied: "Yes, PPL is an excellent way to get affordable access to the legal system. I love the service and have used it a lot. And these are top AV rated attorneys in a whole law firm available to assist us in any area of law.I'd be happy to tell you about my experience with the membership. Feel free to call me anytime. "Hana" Here's my website:952-540-1005"
gatorgirl replied: "I am a prepaid legal associate and use the service as well. I have not yet used it for investing, but I spoke to someone who has, after I read your question. He actually used them to buy a house and saved almost $10,000. I hope that answered your question. Oh and a lot of the idiots on here will tell you it is a scam and I know I am wasting my time, but I will let you know that we are on the New York Stock Exchange. Also, 13 states require a license to offer the services, so if they are a scam, I guess those states are in on it too."
lincolngomes301 asked: "I was offered a job at prepaid legal services today but am just curious about how can this job be and if I can do it! I dont know about the pay, and dont even know how to be convincing.. how do they really pay? commision based, or hourly? Also, what are the objectives of the job?"
Question posted courtesy of:
Skittles replied: "Hell No. If you went to one of those seminars you'll know that they make you believe that that damn card they give you will make you above the Law, I am being REAL. I did it and it's not a job, its like selling AVON.Trust Me"
kate replied: "Job doing what ?Are you an attorney ?Clerical worker ?Sales ?What ?How would we know if you don't even tell us what ?>"
Teri replied: "Prepaid legal is a business opportunity not a job. You will most likely to need to a pay a start-up fee."
snowwhitestarz replied: "Are you talking about a job at the company or being a prepaid legal business owner yourself? If you are going to sell the service, you need to sell the legal services to people and get commission. On top of that, you can get people to sell under you and with you. This builds your team. You work with them to get people to join. You can go to classes to learn more and get certified to sell to businesses who will deduct payments for the service out of workers checks. All they pay is from $9 to $25 depending on the services they want. They offer legal advice, identity Theft Protection, Credit monitoring and legal representation for a discounted fee. The person trying to get you to sell it will be the one to get you in and what you make will add to what they make and the same for who you get in. I have the service and my husband started selling it, but he does not have the time to "work the business". Its pretty much an insurance for a lawyer. I have used the service and it has been beneficial. We got a check for 3 something for getting 5 people to sign up. Then you gotta get more....you'll get money for who ever you get in. If you stay in over a year, you will get permanent income, which is good. If they cancel the service before the year is up it'll mess you up some what...but money from the other customers will balance it out. You get your a website you pay for for 20 a month and you are suppose to subscribe for the service for yourself also. There is a site that makes all the business cards and all that. Its pretty cool if you really get into it."
XPS - Founder & CEO replied: "Its not a job, its a network marketing opportunity. Your main purpose is to sell prepaid legal cards and recruit people to duplicate your efforts. So basically lets say you have to recruit 6 people, who recruit 6 people each, who recruit 6 people each, and so forth until the entire nation is selling the exact same thing,LOL."
sweetlee725 asked: "I have been an asscociate for a long time. I put my time in it but people I come across says its a scame. What do you think?"
Question posted courtesy of:
Wizzard2 replied: "It snot worth it. Most of the offers you can get, if you need them from any firm. Its more like advertising that you pay for."
in_law_school_send_love replied: "It depends on what matters you are relying on them for. Just keep in mind, you get what you pay for. This is never more true than in the legal profession."
Tara replied: "I have a friend that works for them. I guess it's good if you're paranoid or just use them for little things. I would imagine many customers to be eccentric. I can't see it being good enough for a business though."
bhasquin replied: "i dont think much of it personally, but i have three opportunities that i am promoting very successfully"
Terri T replied: "Hi, When they first surfaced I tried it and wasn't impressed. When my husband and I needed help they weren't there at all for us. I was working for them and still couldn't get the help we needed. Needless to say that ended our relationship."
high maintenance" girl replied: "People who say it's a scam are just refusing to listen and think it through.Saying it's a scam makes as much sense as saying that health insurance or car insurance are scams.I'm not an associate, but my personal policy has saved me a lot of time, money and worry. They write your will free when you join. That's a huge value right there. They'll write letters for you when you're having problems. I was able to get two credit card companies off my back with these letters. They'll look over agreements and contracts for you, which saves a lot of money compared to going to a lawyer on your own.If you're trying to make a career of it, though, I really think it takes a certain kind of person to pull it off.I'm not into sales. I hate trying to make a sale. I was once the worst Mary Kay lady ever. I loved the products but hate to pressure people. Tried to fit myself into the mold for so long but it made me depressed so I finally gave up and returned to what made me happy. As far as being a customer, it's a fabulous product. You never know when you might get sued. A lot of people go bankrupt or get into financial trouble when they are sued. And it can take thousands of dollars to defend yourself. A lot of people are in the right, but give up and settle because they can't afford to defend themselves."
Millionaire Hoy replied: "Honestly I'm glad that everyone isn't totally impressed by PPL so far. If everyone saw the true vision for PPL there wouldn't be any need for associates like you and I. I get lots of negative responses every now and then and at first it used to get me down but in order to value someones opinion I would have to value their life style. Needless to say that lots of naysayers dont have a lifestyle that I value. Also are you getting much support from your upline associates? What team are you on? I'm on Team Nuvision (Darnel Self's team,). My team is based in Chicago. Where's your team based? I"ve heard some people complain and honestly if their complaints paid me I might be a little concerned but they don't. My ppl business is doing well and I average no less than 5 memberships a week at $172 ea which is more than $850 a week. People see that I make money and they still are negative about it. Meanwhile I am helping to solve 2 of America's biggest probles. One being access the the legal system and the other being Identity theft and restoration. BTW I have only been with the company for 2 months and I'm going for Director within the next month or so. My advice is to not let people steal your dreams. If you need any help or advice you can contact me via email @ also i have a blog which has lots of great notes @ .my ppl page is."
Scott C asked: "My wife and I have tried to use the magazines. But we are not having any luck with those and I was just wondering how other people have been succesfull with the business."

Betty Boop replied: "Around the court house where people are in trouble, been in trouble and seeking help...flyers on cars, flyers on polls, etc."
hunter2 replied: "I had a friend who tried everything to sell that...she had no luck.It just isn't appealing. If you have a legal problem then you'll have to pay. If you dont have any you won't have to spend anything. So when you buy this prepaid you are betting against yourself. You are betting that you will need an attorney and that you won't be able to afford one. Many people get through life without attnys.Best of luck,"
Mr. S replied: "Let me know if it works Scott.... Health insurance, why not legal insurance...."
joepony replied: "I work for a two-attorney firm and while they don't participate in these kinds of services, they have come across a few opposing-parties who have and they were all referred by the local bar association advertisements/publications and legal-aid agencies. Also, I know that many of the pre-paid lawyers do not produce quality work (for obvious reasons), so that may be why these kinds of services are not popular...."
mrsgillen3 replied: "I am a prepaid legal associate and you just really have to talk to people. Make sure you are using your upline and if you do not have one, I will be willing to help. It is a simple business, but it is not easy. You just have to stay with it. If you have been to any events, most people seem to really hit it big after being in the company for 3 years. Just stick with it! Let me know what I can do to help!!!!"
A F asked: "I'd appreciate hearing your experiences as a member, a prospect, or an associate whether they are good or bad experiences. Thank you. This is specifically Prepaid Legal Services, Inc. founded by Harlan Stonecipher in 1972 not just prepaid legal services in general but this specific company."
Question posted courtesy of:
jadejadeforeternity replied: "They arent too helpful, but cheap."
drewxjacobs replied: "They are okay for every day run of the mill stuff. Usually, however, you will have to get a specialty lawyer anyway. I wouldn't waste the money."
charlsyeh replied: "i was a member from their beginning.i used them for a citation and to send some demand letters.it worked great.i know they say they will represent you in big cases but i have not seen it in 30 years.as one poster said they have never done anything in a big case.you can always call them and ask questions.if they make promises then write them down and take their name.a very good friend of the family now sells ppl, he said it has greatly changed.----retired texas deputy sheriff----"
Foxxxy replied: "Any pre-paid legal is nice for general advice, but I have gotten just as much help from going down to the law library and finding the info myself, plus saved myself a monthly fee. Here is an article about the prepaid legal service you were asking about:)"
