travel advisory
is a public notice issued by a government agency to provide information about the relative safety of traveling to or visiting one or more specific destinations. The purpose is to allow travelers to make an informed decision about a particular travel destination, and to help them prepare adequately for what may be encountered on their trip. Travel issues may include: inclement weather, civil unrest or disease.
Travelers departing from or arriving at the United States should consult the U.S. State Department's U.S. Travel web site at http://travel.state.gov/ for current information about U.S. and world travel requirements and recommended precautions. In addition, the U.S. Transportation Security Agency has devoted a portion of their web site to U.S. travelers: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/index.shtm. This site is particularly helpful for those traveling by commercial airline, as it tracks the various travel security measures that will be imposed on air travelers.

"first, you need to learn the business. in order to complete that task, you will need the help of a degree program at a university or a job at an established firm. the university coursework is not difficult, but you would have to be solidly placed in the same city for a while. search the internet for possible schools with the classes that you would like to take. the good thing, if you take this route, is that most schools will have many of the classes necessary to start you down this path.the second way is to start calling travel agent firms. this is going to be very tiring because you will get a lot of 'no' answers due to your experience. you will, after a while though, get some opening, and you cannot be picky. the travel agent field has downsized due to internet business and therefore is going to be much harder to break into than it would have been twenty years ago. take the entry level position that is offered and see where it lands you. there are a few other ways to get into the business, like starting up an internet site, or moving to a resort town in a developed country. you could look at those as possibilities, but they are going to be more difficult to get going than the first two recommendations. good luck finding what you need."
